Mr Hendrik NagtegaalHennie gained his BSc degree, (Genetics and Anatomy), in 1974 at the University of Pretoria, and went on to gain his BChD, (Bachelor in Dental Surgery), in 1979.

After completing his 2 year conscripted national service from 1979 – 1981 as a dentist, Hennie moved to the UK in 1981, and has worked in several multidisciplinary dental practices around London. Hennie became a practice owner in 1983 in Barking Road, London. In 1986 he returned to South Africa for further educational courses and experience in general anaesthetics and orthodontics, whilst running his own practice in Port Shepstone.

Returning to the UK in 1993, Hennie opened The Nightingale Clinic as a dental referral centre for dental treatment under General Anaesthetic, Conscious Sedation and Orthodontics.

Hennie has continued his education, and in 2003 he received a PDD from the university of Stellenbosch. IN 2008 he received a MSc in Conscious Sedation and Pain Management fron the University of the Western Cape.
